I’m a dog trainer who has experienced the struggles of owning a reactive dog. Constantly scanning the environment, feeling embarrassed, and meticulously planning when and where to walk my dog was incredibly stressful and exhausting. I can’t believe I put up with it for so long—7 years to be exact!
Living with a reactive dog taught me that dog training is more than just about the dog itself. I understand the frustration, embarrassment, and helplessness that come with everyday walks. It took patience, understanding, and consistency to overcome those challenges with my own dog, but that experience ultimately shaped the trainer I am today. It gave me real empathy for dog owners in the same position and a practical understanding of what it truly takes to create calm, lasting change through reactive dog training.
Today, you’ll generally see me and my former reactive dog thriving as we enjoy café visits, family outings, and adventures together in Shepparton.
